March 25, 2020
Dear Friends and Clients,
As COVID-19 (corona virus) continues to spread in the U.S. and across the globe, I want to take a moment to let you know what McSoley McCoy & Co. has done to respond to this public health emergency.
Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our people, clients, families, and the communities in which we live and work. We want you to feel comfortable working with our firm during this important and critical time of year and also want you to know that we continue to place utmost importance on our clients’ assurance and tax needs . Below, we’ve outlined how we are working to minimize potential risk .
Office closure – In accordance Gov. Phil Scott’s March 24, 2020 Stay Home/Stay Safe Executive Order McSoley McCoy & Co. ‘s office will close to the public at 5:00 PM March 25, 2020 until at least April 15 2020. We have suspended all on-site visits and face-to-face meetings until further notice. While the office has been closed, we are still operating. For clients who need to provide us with information, our preference is to receive it either electronically or through regular mail.
Electronic options – We are recommending that where possible, we conduct information sharing using electronic options. To provide us with documents, clients can send items through our client portal, available on our website, or through ShareFile. We are also available by telephone or by video conference. If you need help with any of these, please let your McSoley McCoy & Co. contact know and he or she will assist you. Finally, we have installed a monitored drop box outside our office.
Remote considerations – We have instituted a plan to insure you that our work for you will not be disrupted, as we move to a completely virtual environment. Last week we gave most of our employees the option of working remotely. Most of our staff have chosen to do so. We are making the appropriate adjustments to ensure that each of our staff members can work remotely for as long as the need arises.
Rest assured, we are monitoring this developing situation closely. If any major changes occur, we will update you immediately with details. Thank you for your patience and trust in McSoley McCoy & Co. during these unusual circumstances. If you have any questions or further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact one of our partners.
