Five McSoley McCoy Staff Complete Key Bank Vermont City Marathon
Published by: MMC on June 4, 2012

A sunny temperate morning greeted five McSoley McCoy & Co. partners and staff on Sunday, May 27, 2012, as they set off to run the Key Bank Vermont City Marathon (KBVCM). Tom Stretton, Jamie Harnish, Sherry Ricker and Caitlin Arthur all ran the full 26.2 miles while Erin Borick ran the 13.1-mile two-person relay. Collectively, the group has run the KBVCM a total of 20 times.

There’s always a story behind why someone becomes a runner, and the South Burlington, Vermont-based staff of McSoley McCoy and Co. are no exception. Sherry and Caitlin were fulfilling an item on their “bucket list,” in the process, both became hooked on running. Tom began his running career after college and Jamie — strictly as a requirement of triathalon training. Erin’s running career began after having kids, wanting to get back in shape and as a means of stress relief.

Marathon weekend in Burlington, Vermont, is a weekend-long event organized by Run Vermont that draws thousands of spectators and racers from around the world. Sherry put it best, “Sunday was my 37th marathon overall and KBVCM is close to my heart, being my hometown marathon. They do an excellent job compared to others based on the volunteer/spectator/runner ratios.”
